How to stream in standard quality

How to stream in high-quality

Step 1:  Click on the link www.Ustream.tv and create an account.

A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided.
 
 Step 2:  Log in to Ustream.tv.
Figure 2: After you create account, sign in image after you click on the Log In link at the top of the page. Enter your Login name and Password.
 Step 3:  You may have been asked to name your Show & Categorize it, push thru and click on Your Shows.
Figure 3: Once logged in, click on Your Shows, then click on Live Embed and copy this code. 
Step 4:  Log in to the Advertiser Adform http://www.internettermsofuse.com/Adform.aspx (if it is already open it may have timed out)

Step 5: To finish, click on the "Submit Business Listing" button on the bottom of the Adform
Click "Submit Business Listing" and a camera Icon appears on your ad. To launch your camera: 1) Attach a camcorder with a USB cable, or a Webcam with a USB cable to your computer; 2) Log In to Ustream.tv; 3) Click on Your Shows; 4) Click on Broadcast Now - and you are now broadcasting live video from your Ad Listing..

How To Stream Standard Quality Streams (Mac & PC)

Step 1: Go to http://www.ustream.tv/login-signup and create an account or log into an existing one.

Step 2: Once logged in, click the green "Broadcast Now" button at the top right of the screen:



Step 3: You should now be at the Ustream broadcaster, which looks like this:



Step 4: Select your Video input source, and Audio input source.

Step 5: Click "Start Broadcast" to start streaming. Hit "Start Record" to have your live broadcast recorded, you will be given an option to save the recording when you click "Stop Record".

Step 6: Click Stop Broadcast when done.

Note: If you want to stream your desktop, you'll need to install software to have that choice in the dropdown list.
Desktop Stream or Demonstration Software (this is not for your web camera - DESKTOP ONLY):
For PC, you can use: VHScreenCap ( http://www.splitmedialabs.com/downloads/VHSC_inst.exe )
For Mac, you can use: Camtwist ( http://allocinit.com/images/b/b6/CamTwist-2.1.dmg )

After installing, reload the broadcaster and choose the appropriate device in the video source dropdown menu.

How To Stream High Quality Streams (PC directions)

Step 1: Go to http://www.ustream.tv/login-signup and create an account or log into an existing one.

 Step 2: Download and install Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/flashmediaencoder/ You will be prompted to create a free Adobe login account.

Step 3: Go to http://www.ustream.tv/mybroadcasts and click on the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down until you see:


and click the button to download the file. You will need to remember where you saved the file, saving it on Desktop

Step 4: Start Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder. Go to File -> Open Profile -> and select the XML you downloaded in Step 3.

 Step 5: Select your Video input device, and Audio input device.

Step 6: Adjust your input size, output size and bitrates. The default settings are poor quality, make sure to increase both of them.

 Step 7: Click Start on Adobe Media Flash Encoder Live.

 Step 8: Go back to http://www.ustream.tv and click the green "Broadcast Now" button at the top right of the screen:



 Step 9: You should now be at the Ustream broadcaster, which looks like this:



 Step 10: Click "Start Broadcast" to start streaming. Hit "Start Record" to have your live broadcast recorded, you will be given an option to save the recording when you click "Stop Record".

Step 11:  Click Stop Broadcast when done. Also hit Stop on Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, and close it.
